Bad Influence: The Dark Side of Kidfluencing is a Netflix documentary examining the darker realities of growing up as a content creator. Sawyer is featured throughout, sharing his experience being part of a production machine from age 13.

Uniform Law Commission
Drafting Committee on Child Digital Entertainers working alongside legislators to modernize child labor protections for the digital age.
In March 2026, Sawyer traveled to Nashville to contribute to the Uniform Law Commission Drafting Committee on Child Digital Entertainers. The ULC is working to pass legislation that would extend labor protections to children working in social media.
Sawyer began posting on social media at age 10. Unlike his sisters who were actresses and had protections built into their contracts, there were almost no laws to protect children on social media. He is working to change that.
I first started posting on social media when I was 10 unlike my sisters who were actresses and had protections in the acting world. There are almost no laws to protect children on social media. The uniform law commission is moving to pass a law that helps set some of those same protections in this industry.
